Shooting safely and fairly

Clear agreements keep our sport safe and enjoyable. Below are the most important range rules.

The most important range rules

  1. Safety first

Always point your bow towards the target and never draw a bow with an arrow while someone is in front of the shooting line.

  2. Wait for the signal

Arrows are only collected once everyone has finished shooting and the range officer has given the signal.

  3. Stay behind the line

Archers stand on the shooting line while shooting; everyone else waits behind the waiting line.

  4. Respect the equipment

Use club equipment with care, report any damage to the coach and put everything away neatly afterwards.

  5. Sportsmanship

We are a club of friendship: encourage each other, help new members along and keep the atmosphere friendly.

  6. No alcohol while shooting

After shooting you are welcome to have a drink.
